Worse doctor experience of my life. Well, never actually saw Dr. Higer, instead just her nurse-practitioner, a very unhappy, confrontational person. I expect medical personnel to at least have some medical terminology, and be able to spell. Instead I traveled 4 hours each visit to have a pap smear that was the most painful of my life, (only to be told 8 months later that it was inconclusive), AFTER finally dealing with the Lab charges on my own. Believe me this is a place you want to stay away from. There is a reason there are no patients waiting in the clinic. And beware of the CNA? who "guestimates" your blood pressure.
I EXPECT more from a Country Doctor. Especially a Primary Care Doctor. I would NEVER let a family member or somebody that I love, ever Go to Shasta Family Care!
What bothered Me the Most is Her the lack of Integrity. Until, today, I had no clue, that Dr. Higer was long-time friends with at least One of the Hate Crime People who have been intimidating Me, harassing Me for several years, here in Mt. Shasta. No wonder She doesn't listen to Me? She doesn't Believe a word that I say. She should have let me know, from day one, instead of Placating Me. NO patient should ever be looked-down upon, like Dr. Higer has done, to ME.
AFTER waiting over an HOUR in her waiting room, She barely had the attention-span to listen to her patient, for 5 minutes, before she went into a fit. Saying, somehow, That I was wasting Her time? How, She has a new position running a facility in Weed, along with her other more-important duties, etc. etc. etc...
I had the most degrading, humiliating, Doctors visit that I have ever encountered. As a person with long-term heart-failure, in my lifetime, I have been to the most highly-rated Medical Centers, in the Nation. But, NEVER have I ever Felt as Badly, as I do after visiting Dr. Deborah Ann Higer at 725 Pine street, which is really sad, because the support staff are very caring & kindhearted.
Absolutely the worst doctor experience of my life. Don't even bother- she makes you feel like you are wasting her time and never follows through. On a side note: very unprofessional and her office is so dirty. Appalling.
