We came in to Dos Geckos at the recommendation of my coworker. We ordered around 2pm, the place was not busy. We sat and waited for 45 minutes while we watched everyone who had showed up after us get their food. I asked our server if she put our order in, she replied "yes I did". Well another server walked by again, dropping food to another table who had showed up long after we had, so I asked her if she could see if our order was put in, well she came back and told us the truth, which was that our server had NOT put our order in after all, and she offered us a free beer to make up for it. (That was nice, but it was now 2:45 and I had to be at work at 3:30 in Dunsmuir, that's why I got to the restaurant at 2pm.)
Expensive $15 burrito. Slow 20 min to make it. Disorganized. Tasted good tho.
She told me I could eat it in my car while I drive to work. I told her I didn't come to this restaurant to eat and drive. I went back outside to our table, checked the time, noticed it was getting close to time I would need to leave and she comes outside and drops the bill at our table without a word. WE HAVE NOT EVEN GOTTEN ANY FOOD AT THIS TIME. That was the last straw. My boyfriend went inside gave them the bill and we left. I asked for a manager before we left, they said there wasn't one there. If the owner reads this, I would really like to talk to you about our service on this day. I am a server/bartender In fine dining establishments and I am a very compassionate person. This experience was unacceptable by any measure.
Great friendly service!!! Great Mt.Shasta view while eating on their patio. I had the Hot Lava Burrito and it was the best. All around 5 stars.
If you're looking for some real good grub I highly recommend this place. The staff is so friendly and the food is ah-mazing! The Chipotle sour cream is so yum!
Would give it zero stars if it were possible. Based on service.
I love Dos Gekos!! I am a regular Margo and her staff always do the best! I had one bad experience and the owner invited me back for dinner on her, the service was friendly, quick and the food was amazing! Don't overlook Dos Gekos if you want delicious authentic Mexican food!
