I've stayed at the Finlandia Motel about a half dozen times over the last 10 years. It's honestly one of my favorites, so it's sad to see the bummer comments that haven't shared my wonderful experiences there.
Clean budget motel, the upstairs apartment or the rooms in the back are definitely the best. Has a outdoor hot tub and nice indoor sauna
Way overpriced. Staff did NOT notify anyone of the ecoli in the city water. Neighbor's shower did not work. No screens in windows. Bed was comfortable and clean. Best Western would have been a much better choice.
Kathy and Tom are amazing, the location is perfect, and sauna and hot tub is where it's at. Yes, the furniture may be a bit dated, but the overall feel and look of the place is classic and cozy.
Friendly staff, quiet location, and a large, tastefully decorated room. The kids and I were very impressed, especially for the price. Made us feel like we were in a ski lodge in the woods. We would definitely return.
The rooms are affordable and clean. The sauna rocks! My only issue is some of the employees smoke strong tobacco/cigars onsite. Other than that this is a nice place if you're on a budget!
