From the very first contact over the phone, David was so warm and inviting that he made us feel welcome before we ever arrived. He is very hospitable, a great cook, and is interested in every aspect of insuring that all of his visitors experience a pleasant stay. He is so engaging that he makes you instantly feel comfortable in his beautiful Victorian home. We strongly recommend David's Shasta MountInn Retreat and Spa as a relaxing and peaceful place to enjoy the beautiful area around Mt. Shasta. David definitely has pride in his business and special interest in each of his clients.

It is great to hear all the wonderful reviews, but I was shut down before even being able to book. I tried to book well in advance for a Tuesday night. I was told to book the end of July for the second week in August, and that one nights are hard to book. Really?? I know better than to book only two weeks before you arrive. I tried.

Was fortunate to get a last minute reservation in June! Wonderful tranquil retreat from a busy world. Husband fell asleep in the swing. Moved to the patio lounge chair and fell asleep again. Moved to the patio couch - yes, fell asleep yet again. Extremely relaxing. Walking distance to nice restaurants. David will give you suggestions if you want. Breakfast was great. Room had a picture perfect view of Mt. Shasta. Good bed and it even had a conture pillow for your neck. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely fell in love with this place! What a gem! They have thought of every hospitality detail from cozy robes in the closet, sauna and jacuzzi, delicious homemade breakfast and a huge DVD collection (great to watch in you room). The rooms each have their own, private bathroom. Make sure to ask and confirm if the bathroom is inside the bedroom or down the hall. Ours was inside and while down the hall would have been a fine set up, it's just good to know what to expect. We felt so welcomed at this B and B and can't wait to come back.
